What can you expect from a training session with Mary-Jane Opie? –

The training sessions are designed to take the handler from the beginning steps right the way through to competing within the Gundog arena. All grades will deal with heel work, recall, steadiness and directions, during selected sessions, while whistle work will be covered throughout the course. The basic obedience ground work will be complimented by fun exercises for both the dog and Handler. Retrieving is highly rewarding for the dog and the handler will shown how to use this descipline to the greatest advantage to produce a well rounded, mentally satisfied dog! The ground provides a wonderful selection of challenging retrieves, offering a quiet area for the dog to learn with company from others…. while the handler will gain experience and support to enable the training to continue at home.  For further information please contact us-

Please contact Mary-Jane Opie for details or to book a 1:2:1 by sending an email to gundogdummies@gmail.com

Group Training will take place at Cholwell with small groups of 8 dogs. The course will be 6 Weeks long, each session lasting up to two hours. Please contact me for more information and term starting dates and enrolement.

“I have enjoyed the whole experience of group training, and watching everyone progressing well, lovely to be able to bring problems that we have encountered to the group instead of slogging on alone getting frustrated!”
